We're Ready!!!

His nursery is now finished and we have everything that I think we need for him. Probably more, much more, than we need for him. But here's the nursery. Above are these amazing wood letters that we got from Nancy and Kasia. We finally got a shelf for them and put them up today. (We got the wrong size yesterday and had to go switch it today. It was quite annoying.)
Here are shots of the room.
I put up the monsters Kass made for the shower around the closet (which is hiding all my craft stuff, not any baby stuff).
Here's my favorite part!!! I finished it last night. Amy gave me the mobile part and I added the monsters that I made and now they can sing him to sleep :)
Close ups on the zombie:
Medusa:
Cthulu from HP LoveCraft stories:
The Blob?
Nosferatu:
And here's just a picture showing how gigantic I am! And the doctor says she doesn't want me going past the 9th, so if he isn't out by then, we'll go in and get him! That means only 12 more days max!!! However, Kyle is disappointed. He really wants him to come on the 11th, but there's no way any doctor would agree to induce on a Saturday. So that's out. And Felix will definitely be out by then!

Baby Showers Galore

Last Thursday my friend Kendra, who used to work with me, threw me a great shower. And then Wednesday at work I got another great shower. I can't believe how generous people are! It's like they're excited we're having a baby or something...I don't have any pictures from my work shower, but here are pictures from my friend shower. Thanks again Kendra!
Here's my friends from all ages. In the front (left to right) is Rissa from work, Erinn my sister-in-law, me, and Alana from high school. In the back (left to right) is Jen who interned at work last year, Stacey the greatest neighbor ever, Kendra who worked with me until she birthed her baby, Christy and Lucy who I've been friends with since 4th grade, and Shelley who I met at the flagpole in 7th grade.
Kendra gave me a remarkable amount of diapers.
And you can't see but she decorated with M&Ms and ate all of the other ones so that just brown, blue and green were left. And that cake you see there was divine!
Lucy's baby demonstrated the gifts.
And some people got close up shots. Including me, but I'm not including any of those. Here's Stacey, my very favorite neighbor that makes me want to stay at home with Felix so we can hang out all day.
Here's Lucy:
And Rissa and Jen from work. They also were modeling the horrible pads that Kendra gave me (her leftovers from the hospital) but I'm pretending like they don't exist--then I'll never need them, right?

Tuacahn

We took our last trip in July because our doctor told us not to do it in August. Which was kind of unfortunate because it was almost unbearably hot sitting in the theatre of rocks. I took off layer after layer and could not cool down. And all they had was horrible sugary drinks to cool off with and of course I had got my diabetes testing kit the day before. Quite joyous.
This is Felix at his second play (he went to his first in Vegas).
I'm not sure why these pictures were taken, but I love them.
And here are some random pictures that hadn't gotten blogged. Such as more grumpy ones of Story.
And our cat at her favorite pasttime: bringing snakes into our house and helping them slowly die.
Apparentally drum sticks are the way to get snakes out of your house....?

Bear Lake

So, Bear Lake was interesting this year. I've decided it's not quite a pregnant friendly place. It was a bit on the hot side and boats are a bit on the bumpy side for my pregnant comfort. I kind of sucked at taking pictures too, but here's what I got.
We spent one day on the boat. There were the usual injuries associated with the water weenie.
I mostly just sat on the boat though.
We also sat on the beach a lot. I took my book every time, but I don't think I read a single page on the beach through the whole trip.
We went mini golfing one day and it was my favorite part of the trip.
If I remember right, I totally won :)
Kyle got a little frustrated when he was going onto stroke 15.
One day we decided to go into town to look around (I wanted a Bear Lake onesie, but never found one). When we got to the car the tire was quite flat and I could see a big nail in it. Not too flat that we couldn't drive on it though. We went into town and they directed us to the next town as there were no car fixing places in that town.
Kyle followed the guy around to see how it was fixed. He always does that when professionals work on anything of ours.
And the last night was the campfire.
I had to take pictures with my best friend of the night since Jenny and her best friend took literally hundreds of pictures of themselves like this.
And Kyle became Story's best friend for the night. She was laughing a ton with him and was pretty grumpy with everyone else.
I think other people had a lot more fun than me and have better posts about it...sorry mine is lame.

5 pounds 12 ounces

That's how big they are estimating that Felix is right now. However, the doctor said they can be off by as much as 2 pounds. Let's hope that they are or he'll be a hefty 8 pounds 12 ounces by the time he comes out. We got to see another ultrasound as part of the whole diabetes checking stuff. They only gave us this picture of his profile (see his ginormous lips) and a picture of his privates though (which I won't be posting). But he's very average in every way for size so they aren't seeing any problems from the diabetes--so that's good. But I still get to go to the hospital AND the doctor every week. Lucky me :)

Baby Shower

Kass threw me an amazing baby shower and even moved it up a month so that Keri could come, which both Keri and I were so happy about. It was the cutest shower I have ever seen in my life!
Thank you to everyone who came!
But most people weren't all about posing. Here's Kyle's mom and grandma.
Kim and her girls and Diana and her girls.
And Saundra pointed out that almost all my sisters were there! We just missed Chris!
And of course Story was there. And she looked at the camera, but not very happily.
I have not been the greatest and photographing events, but it really was great. Kass put so much work into it and it made me so happy. And I'm going to use her cute decorations in his room!
