Story of Poop

So this was the highlight of Kass's visit on Saturday. Kass was feeding Story and it apparantly went straight through her and filled her little white bear outfit. Jerome wanted to just run home, but when it startetd seeping through the outfit that wasn't an option...so into my tub she went.Kyle laughed a lot and sat as far away from the bathroom as possible.
Jerome yelled gross a lot...and was trying to get me to help Kass instead of him. But I didn't. Too bad for him. It was really gross. Can't wait to have my own! :)

FINALLY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I spent Christmas Eve delivering last minute stuff like this hat I made for Jess, which wasn't actually for Christmas or anything, but I finished it in time for Christmas...
Christmas Eve we had dinner with Kyle's family and opened presents. Kyle's sister got this gun for Janet (Kyle's mom) so she can shoot animals that get too close to her property...sounds like a certain dad I know. At least this is only an airsoft gun.
Janet bought me and her mom these cool hair towel things. They fit perfectly over your hair and you can even get dressed with them on, I did it this morning! I love it.
Kevin and Chuck were also in attendence...but I didn't get a picture of Chuck. It was a really nice evening. We also watched Get Smart and Sisterhood of the Pantsing Traveler (which is how Chuck said it). Kyle and Kevin's commentary was thoroughly entertaining.
On our own we opened our pajamas on Christmas Eve and a present for each of us. Kyle got a DVD set of Band of Brothers and I got a Celtic Moon necklace.
CHRISTMAS DAY!
Kyle loved his surprise presents. I made him a Star Wars Ewok and me and one of his friends got him an air soft gun. He claims to hate surprises and that I couldn't possibly know what he would want, but he LOVED the gun and carried the Ewok around with him the whole day.
Kyle surprised me with a book: Friday Night Knitting Club and earphones. They were great surprises! I'm holding another book he got which is patterns to make little monsters--including a zombie that Kyle said I should make for Cole. I think it'd be hilarious! But of course I won't.
And now here's Kyle in our mess that we finally got cleaned up between Christmas night and this morning. We also went to my mom's on Christmas day, but there weren't very many people over there this year. We got there as Kory left and only us, Kevin, Kass, and Shauna were over there. But I'm glad. I had a raging headache and it was a struggle to keep the kids' volume down even though there weren't very many people. Then we went to Wendy's house because she's too cool to go to mom's. Surprisingly, it was quieter there. And Shauna was actually there too when we got there so I played games with Wendy and Shauna's boys. All the girls were playing loud video games downstairs so I couldn't hang out with them. When we got home we played our new games while watching our new movies. And now I'm watching Saturday's Warrior! Which is just about bringing tears to my eyes with all of its wretched cheesiness. I can't believe someone actually wrote this. Oh wow. I just wish Dusty was here to dance with me like we used to! :)

The wonderful thing about Tiggers!

In response to my post asking for business to support my obsessive crocheting habits Muffy asked me to make her a Tigger. It was surprisingly the biggest thing I've ever made (besides my half finished blanket). It's so cute I might have to make another for me.

This is Muffy with Tigger for those of you saying who the heck is Muffy...She's just Rainey's cool sister. I have so many wonderfully embarrassing stories I could share here, but I'll save it for bookclub.
When I delivered Tigger Rainey and Sydney were there. And even though Sydney was trying to sleep I made Rainey take pictures of her with Tigger because I think it's great that Tigger is so much bigger than her!

Christmas Saturday

Kyle said when we went out this morning (and it was only noon) that it was already the worst day ever. But it was one of the best actually. We went shopping for the last of our Christmas stuff like family presents, which I'm quite excited about. In between stores we had lunch at Denny's and had a really good waiter. Kyle is talking to his brother in this picture, hence my boredom that caused me to get the camera out.
After lunch we headed to Kohls and then to drop off Tigger that I crocheted to Muffy (Rain's sister). But Tigger deserves a seperate post, so stay tuned!. When we finished shopping it was time to go meet Wendy for our evening festivities. One of Wendy's bosses was part of a live nativity in Gardner Village. He's in a barber shop quartet and they sang Christmas songs before and during the nativity scene that had live animals, including a goat that made noises right on beat. It was great.
After the nativity we froze as we looked around the shops before eating dinner at a pricey restaurant. But don't worry, my food was free because I totally complained about the hair I found in my pasta even though it embarrassed Kyle to death that I asked for a discount for it. :) So now I'm totally exhausted and about to head to bed!

Merry Anderson Christmas!!

Today was our family Christmas party. It was so much fun. So many people helped so it didn't feel like a big deal to be basically in charge. We started out with a magician. The kids LOVED the magician. I wasn't a fan of him when he made me get on the stage, but I did love Andy yelling "Shake it Kelli!" That was pretty fantastic.
After the magician was dinner. And then Santa Clause came barrelling in surprising all the children! Including Dusty. Dusty loved Santa :)
The last festivity was the pinata. Everyone got a swing at it and then we sent Brit in to finish off the job.
Strangely, a lot of the kids liked playing with the broken pinata parts more than the candy that came out of it. Everyone was fighting for the hats.
It was a huge success. Tons of people were there and it was really fun.

Merry Christmas

I finally got our tree up! I gave up on doing homework and set out to put up our tree around 10:00pm. Kyle said it was too late to do it, but I knew if it wasn't done now it never would. And after spending the day at Jeff's with his beautiful tree I wanted to do it. Below are the lights we got for free. They were really that tangled, but still like to pretend for the camera. But they were all icicle lights and all of our decorations are lost right now, so I took a headband that I made from Kevin's present to his mom last year and made it into that bow and am going for the simplistic look until I can get some tree decorations. I like the simple look, but Kyle said it's not a tree without lights. And even though I like the simple look, especially since I don't know how to put lights on very well, I must agree. My favorite Christmas tradition is laying on the floor at night with all the lights off and look at the lit up tree.

Body Worlds Again!

We went to Body Worlds in Salt Lake with Kyle's family. It was fun with them. It was the end of a weekend with all of Kyle's family. Erinn was in town and Kevin came and slept at his moms and we did too. It was great. So this is us after the show. Above--me, Kyle and Connor. Below--Kyle, Kevin and Connor. And this is when Connor got dumped on Kyle after their naps. Connor slowly woke up and actually wasn't grumpy. This may have been when Connor woke up and before he was even fully awake he said "downstairs", which was a command for Kyle to take him down and play video games with him. That kid is obsessed.
