Seattle

I flew to Seattle last Wednesday and Kyle joined my on Thursday. It was a great trip. I did an amazing job fighting off a cold my whole trip until the flight home which was delayed a couple times and I had to be up until almost 2am and then it hit me hard. But I'm already over it, so I'm good. Here's the trip:
Kyle wanted to hit up the EMP (Experience Music Project) and Science Fiction Museum. The beginning was a little...dry...but then it got way fun. We got to play tons of instruments and the best part was singing in a booth. Erik took a picture of our duet, but wouldn't join in. It quickly became a group project when Vic, Keri, and Taryn joined us. The Science Fiction Museum was awesome. I felt totally nerdy and happy.
We didn't know what to do the next day since I had already made my trip to Good Will and Kyle had his to the museums. So I suggested we go my favorite park even though it was an hour away. I was glad I did. We walked a very long way in search of the zipline swing and got to see the beach and get lots of exercise before getting to the wonderful swing that was made extra wonderful by Vic pulling us up as high as possible and pushing us off!

We ended the trip with some relaxing including me teaching the kids how to knit. I'm not a great teacher and wouldn't be available for help so I went with teaching them the knifty knitter. It was great. I can't wait to go again!

Blogs are the Window to the Soul

I now have new insight into you, blogosphere.

Just input your blog address and watch it analyze you like KRAZY. Although, it's basically like reading any random horoscope. Maybe worse.

Murray and other news.

Here is our cat Murray. He's gone through several names and Murray is the most recent. He's a stray that comes back to us every few days and eats our food and uses the litter box we bought him. But we kick him out when we want to sleep and I don't think he appreciates it. If he still comes around after our Seattle trip we'll most likely get him his shots and that jazz and take him with us when we move.
This is Pooh! I finally finished him. I started him in December, but when I got morning sickness I pooped out on it and left it in the closet for like 3 months. Once I started again he was done in like 2 weeks. Connor liked him for all of 5 minutes, but Elise grabbed onto him the second Connor dropped him and dragged him everywhere by the shirt.
And now I'm in Seattle. Above is the parade of all the things I've made Keri's kids, a lot of which I don't remember making :). We went to Good Will today and totally scored some awesome stuff. Kyle comes tonight and Vic is taking the day of tomorrow so we should have a lot of fun!

Kassie's Mandated Update

Kass informed me today that I haven't posted in 9 days, which truly is unacceptable. So here we go. I've been really busy with interviews and other school work, which is boring to blog about, so here's what I've been doing besides that. Kass invited us to a basketball game where Jerome's brother was playing. Below is my picture in honor of Jerome's brother and his wife...I may be exaggerating the height difference...But it was fun to go to the game and it was shorter than I thought it'd be, which was good since we had no backs to our seats.
That was Saturday. Sunday we visited Shauna's family. Andy was very upset with me for not bringing his movie back. In fact he called me today to ask for it back again. We'll see if he can actually wait until next Sunday to get it back. Matthew tried really hard to fly a kite while we were there but the wind was very much out to get him. Maggie took some pictures of me and Kyle on their porch. Let me tell you what a bad idea that is. Think a short girl and tall porch and Kelli in a short dress. Bad idea. You will never see those pictures posted.
Other than our weekend and doing school work I've just been knitting. I finished making Winnie the Pooh for Kyle's nephew's birthday (which was last week) but he still needs a face. I made these monsters for a kid in my class. He bought them from me for his little girls, but after I gave them to him he said he liked them so much he might just keep them for himself.

Double Victory!!

#1: My research study has been approved! (It is a little early, but I was told last night that I was going to be approved so I am counting it as a victory) This means that the University deamed I wasn't going to harm anyone and I can start interviewing people as part of my research study.

#2: For the first time ever I had a 6 month check up at the dentist and had no cavities! (This root canal ordeal doesn't count, because I knew it was there at my last check up. I just didn't fix it.)

Our Newest Hobby

Kyle and I have come up with a new hobby for ourselves. We enjoy viewing and offering on houses in our spare time. These are the three that we have offers on right now. They are all short sales, which means it could be a long time before we hear anything about any of them. Which is why it is fortunate that I am no longer pregnant and am only occasionally bothered by the mystery smell in our apartment (rather than breaking down in tears about the smell at least every other day). Wish us luck! Or pray for us, or send us good energy! Whatever floats your boat!
