This is Kyle. Thought I'd make sure you knew that, as I only post once a year or so, and it makes all the difference. Not to you, of course, but to me. I want credit for reaching out to you. So now that we have that little unpleasant business out of the way, here's a blog post!
We took Felix for his first trip this weekend. A breakneck three-state-tour encompassing Wyoming, Idaho, and his very own state of Utah in one day. I had to go on a work trip to do some computer stuff at a pharmacy in Montpelier, ID and I thought it would be fun if we all went.
He was less than impressed.
Mostly he just slept or ate or defecated like nothing was out of the ordinary.
These are Chris(Kelli's sister)'s sheep. We got to stop by and talk to her and her husband Brent. They're a pretty neat couple. And they have a beautiful little grotto-grove-garden. The black sheep is bossy. And pretty fearless. The ruddy-brown ones just follow her around hoping some of her sleek black coolness will rub off. It doesn't, by the way.
I took a lot of pictures like these while driving. Kelli was mad. Chances are you're mad about it too. Thinking back on it, fiddling with my phone while looking sideways out a window of a car careening down a serpentine canyon road probably wasn't my best idea. But beauty is pain, people. Tyra taught me that.
I love this picture of Kelli and Felix. Sums up his existence.
On an unrelated note, who knew Kassie wrote such "Intriguing" and ridiculously-titled romance novels? And that her pseudonym was so uncreative? I can only assume this story was autobiographical.
It was Megan's idea

you may make fun of my books, but i sure love those big paychecks i get from my sales every month.
I know I buy a couple copies. Just in case they burst into flames from how HOT they are.
I know Kelli doesn't like for me to encourage you, but you're too funny!
This was a great post kyle, you should blog more.
I really like the picture of Kelli and Felix too, she looks cute and Felix looks great.
Cute pictures! I can't believe Felix didn't appreciate your showing him such vast diversity of place and culture.
If you're a black goat, you're just cooler than the others. Period.
As far as Kass's books go, I actually buy those at the Springville "friends of the library" area. They are hot traders in the Paperbackswap. Those in the know, buy them for the full $.50 asking price. Because people in Virginia can't get enough. I had one that had the title, "Doing Ireland". I didn't have it for long...just too many requests to count.
Felix makes me laugh. I wonder what kind of toddler he's going to be.
