Our Biblical Experience

As in the Great Flood. We started cleaning before we got the camera out. So these pictures are not it at its worse. Now just picture the front and back wall ripped out as well as all the cabinets, oh and the ceiling. And about 1.5 feet of drywall all around the family room. They just keep taking more and more. But here are the pictures from the first night, they aren't the greatest but we weren't really going for asthestics...
Here's our first batch of helpers. Wendy brought over Jeremy, Jamie, and Justin that night within minutes of us getting home. Kyle counted that 20 people came over to help within 24 hours including Jerome, Kassie (we're not counting Story cause she whined the whole time), our friend Shelton's crew, our neighbor, Janet and Chuck and Mom and Dad, and more. It was amazing. We felt really loved.

so sad. you forget to tell people how awesome wendy + kids and jerome were to come right over and help at 11pm. you guys are pretty lucky to get a brand spanking new kitchen and living room for free. i think everyone is a bit jealous. i can't wait to see the finished product!! it will be so pretty.

We would have come too, but we weren't even told about it until like 2 am that night from Kassie. I think Kory was bit sad you didn't call him to help. After I got the text from Kassie, he checked his phone to see if you and Kyle had texted him, but nope. We did however give you lots of boxes?

Seriously such a mess, I don't feel as bad anymore for you tho because you get a new Kitchen when it is all said and done.

We didn't want to bug people. Wendy was the closest person and Jerome had a wet vac or else we wouldn't have called anyone. We felt bad bugging who we did. Everyone was going to be called if insurance didn't cover it if that makes you feel better :)

That completely sucks - sorry you had to come home to such a nightmare! New kitchen or not - that blows!

Wow. That would be . . not believable, I guess is what I'm thinking. I don't think I would have registered what I was looking at for several minutes.

Are you living there again, or staying with somebody still?

Oh. My. Goodness. Seeing your couch made me SO sad. I think it's because my couches mean so much to me. And if I saw that that had happened to my couch, I'd stand screaming and sobbing in the living room until someone rocked me to sanity, too. And I'm sorry about no door answering when you were trying to bestow us with our DVDs. I seriously slept the entire weekend. And if I was awake, Jeff was sleeping. I never heard any knocking. But Jeff said that before he lay down on Sunday afternoon, he heard something, but he was too tired to answer. We suck, I know. We REALLy suck when we're sick, for sure.
And for the record, we're still iffy, and I don't want anyone to get it, cause it's ugly and smelly; so no worries about our DVDs. I guess you have a reason to be worried about OTHER things, right now. :)

And that was radical of Wendy and kids and Jerome to help you out.

Wait what the heck happened? What water was left running? How did this start? Glad you have such a huge family to come and help you. Sorry this happened.

No water was left running. A pipe broke in the ceiling and then poured out and filled the ceiling until the ceiling broke. Happy days :)

Argh! Seriously? I'm so sorry! I hope the kitchen turns out just how you want it to, because you deserve a perfect one after this! I'm glad Rome was so amazing and I loved looking at all the pictures. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!
