Puzzle

Kyle bought me this puzzle for Christmas and it is slowly coming together. I'm very proud of my progress so I thought I'd share.
However, I think progress may slow because there is no picture for the other side of the globe! It expects you to do the puzzle using the numbers on the back of the pieces. But being the puzzle snob that I am I will not do it that way. So I will have to rely on my geographical knowledge and knowledge of latin? I'm not sure what language is on the globe, but it isn't english.

What's For Dinner

I've only been making two things for dinner- Speghetti and Tuna pasta so I need some ideas...Remember I'm a simple cook, but not retarded. So any ideas?

Mmmmm Baby!

This is how our family prayer that I gave went last night:

"We're thankful for our baby. Please bless it to nourish and strengthen us. Wait..."

We gave up praying after that.

Babysitting

Fridays I now babysit Story, which is a task I am getting better at I think...but this Friday I also babysat Jeremy. He got out of school earlier than Wendy got off work so he hung out with me and Story. He adored her. It was so great to watch. So I thought I'd share this picture of them together.

Hollywood Tour

I've always wanted to do the Hollywood Tour but Kyle was not very excited, especially about paying for it. So we compromised by getting a bunch of stars addresses of the internet and having Kyle's brother-in-law Ryan drive us around to them. So here's the run down of the tour.

Harrison Ford:
Elton John:
Jay Leno:
Gene Kelly:
Madonna: (her driveway)

Words

So. I figured it's about time I made another post that wasn't a get-to-know-you scheme or some variety of Tagging.

I stumbled across a bunch of poems I've written in the last few years and thought I'd drop a few down occasionally for your perusal. Feel free to comment if you so wish, or not. You know... No pressure. Here goes:

Man

How could he ever leave you,
So small and full of need.
Now blusters back in drunken swag
His mouth so full of greed.
His arms are swinging wildly
And his eyes don't seem to see.
He's packaged up his ears too tight
To hear that you are free.
And with his unbound limbs he gropes
and still you shy away.
And while you beg for him to go,
You long for him to stay.

New Years in LA

We went to LA for New Years, but of course I lost my camera, so I haven't been able to post anything about our trip because all I had was Erinn's pictures and I didn't want to steal them. But I finally looked for my camera yesterday and found it in the first place I looked! I think the two weeks of thinking about looking really prepped me so my looking was super efficient! Our trip to LA consisted of a trip to the Arboretum, which is a place with trees from all over the world. It was a lot of walking, but it was really cool. This wicker house thing was the best. I really wish we had had this picture for our Christmas cards. And these turtles slowly making turtle love was maybe the best part. Someone suggested that this one was just making his way down the line...The actually night of New Year's Eve Kyle's family (his parents were there the first day with us before they went on to some dog shows) went to see all the floats that would be in the Rose Parade the next day while I made Kyle stay at Erinn's house with me while I ran to the bathroom puking every few minutes. I'm sure Kyle had a blast. I know I did! Another day we headed to LA zoo where I strangely ran into Katie Hiatt!
Above is Erinn and her kids and below is Kyle and I trying to make Connor smile.
Our last night there we went shopping and there was even an H & M! My favorite store from London! I didn't find anything to buy because clothes aren't very fun to shop for when you know you're going to be too fat for them pretty soon, but Erinn got stuff! We were going to eat at Erinn's favorite restaurant but it was too long of a wait so we ate crepes instead. They were totally unhealthy but SOOOOOOO good! I had a crepe filled with Nutella, strawberries, bananas and whip cream! Kyle just went for bananas and Nutella. Oh I would die if that place was here!
The morning before we left we went to the beach. I was very very ill so I couldn't enjoy it very much. But Connor loved it and got so wet and muddy that his parents of course ripped his pants off...It made a cute and only slightly inappropriate picture :)
The drive home was fairly miserable. Kyle was so nice and drove the whole way and let me sleep and complain when I was awake.

Happy New Year?

So, 15 days into the year isn't too late for a New Year's post, right? Especially if I rang in the new year by puking every 20 minutes with a raging head ache when I kept throwing up the medicine? I feel justified. Especially since I have yet to find my camera so I can't post pictures of the cute baby laying next to me that I get to baby sit...so here's my Happy New Years post:

In 2008...
Threw some great parties!
Started my job at Wasatch Mental Health
Convinced loads of people they wanted piano lessons

In 2009...

To My Disappointed Readers

I thought something was better than nothing, and seeing as I have misplaced my camera and feel so gross this is all I can muster. Poor Kyle stayed home from work today and so to make him feel better after I got my hair cut by a very patient Leisha I went and got the game we've been planning to buy. I had to check 5 stores for it, but I eventually got it. Lamely, a game he had ordered came in the mail so my surprise wasn't all that interesting. But now we have it.
