I am officially the newest biggest fan of the State Fair. I had so much fun. And there was SOO much stuff there. Way more than you would think. Besides the usual rides, nauseating food, and booths with lots of weird and expensive stuff to buy there was all this:
HUMONGOUS PRODUCE!
Robots (well, people dressed as robots rolling around talking about skinning people...)
Displays from every county. Though not all were as great as this bizarre one:
And sideshows. Yes, pay a dollar to see someone's freakish animal or special family member. It was weird. This was just an alligator, but there were human sideshows. It made me feel really weird.

The pigs were my favorite. I touched their ears and noses and tails. And then couldn't find a place to wash my hands! Oh well. It was so worth it! It goes through Sunday if you can make it and Smith's has discount tickets ($6)

I always loved the state fair. The only part I didn't like were the creepy signs posted over the display animals showing what cuts of meat come from what part (proudly sponsored by the American Pork Council, for example). I hope the animals don't read.
That looks like fun - the food thing was so funny!

I always avoid State Fairs. You make it look fun!
