Here we are and our awesome friends Stephanie and Shelton who cruised with us.
There were so many awesome activities on the cruise that I hardly did as much laying around and reading that I thought I would. The first night there was a dance class that we went to. After we all learned it the teacher had the girls dance alone and most of the men slipped off stage at that point, but these four were left to shake their butts alone. It was fantastic.
We also went to a game show that night. I jumped up on a table the second he asked for volunteers and was chosen first! See me in the lead!!!
It didn't last long. I suck at trivia. He tried to help me get ahead by asking questions only I could answer, like what color underwear was I wearing. But I botched even that! I said, "green! No wait, they're black. Yes, I'm sure they're black. I was choosing between two. Yeah, I think they're black." Then they played a filming of the game show and my underwear monologue on a loop on one of the cruise tv channels. People even recognized me...
Also on the first night, cause there was non stop action, we went dancing! I was so nervous. I never even danced in high school at dances. But Leisha got me dressed for the part and the rest just came so naturally...or I decided not to care for once. One of the two. But I have had a lot of practice with Felix, since dancing is his second favorite thing to do (watching cars go by being his first).
This is Kyle resting from dancing...I guess...I don't really know what is going on.
After dancing we went to karaoke. Steph got up with me for "Uptown Girl". We did NOT know the tune at all. But when the uptown girl line came we totally rocked it.
There was a lot of this:
And I LOVED the bunk beds. I didn't feel Kyle moving. Couldn't see his tab light while he read. Didn't fight over blankets. And the beds were the most comfortable things EVER. I loved it!
The second night after snorkeling (pictures are below), was the fancy night. Steph and I both made our dresses.
Our waiters sang and dance for us every night. It was my favorite part of every day.
We saw a comedian the second night. He was AWESOME. We went to the "adult" comedy too, but it was a different comedian, and he definitely was not funny.
The last night the comedian we did like did an adult show and it WAS funny. I took a picture of his sign to remember his name.
We only got towel animals two of the nights. This is the first one. It was pretty great.
Our two shore adventures are out of order. We went to Catalina first and then Ensenada, but here's Ensenada. Lots of drugs available :)
And LOTS of people trying to sell their stuff. Our friends got overwhelmed and bailed about 5 minutes in. I loved it. Kyle did not. It was fun. I love shopping, and I love making up my own prices!
And don't worry. We were totally safe. The federalies had our backs.
The weather was beautiful. I could have sat out there all day.
I tried to climb up and stand next to this guy, but I got whistled at by some security guy and jumped down all scared.
Like I said, every night they sang and danced for us. I loved it!
I did bingo, even though even though everyone made fun of me for spending money on it.
I was so close! One away! There's Shelton smirking in the back. He was the meanest about it.
That's Ensenada as we left it.
This is the lounge. It's so Vegas looking. It was the room we walked into when we first boarded the ship. I was overwhelmed!
Here's gameshow #2. It was basically A Minute to Win It. Shelton got up. He had to shake his butt to get ping pong balls out of the kleenex box. There were seven. He only got out four :(
One of the wonderful buffets. The ceiling reminded me of Ursula.
Day two we went to Catalina. We had to take a boat from the cruise ship to the island. Kyle wants to move there and shuttle people to the island.
There was so much nastiness stuck in my hair after snorkeling.
The wet suits were SO flattering. And so impossible to get on and off. I required massive amounts of assistance.
Getting out was also impossible. While I was falling over and over I looked up and there's Kyle, already on the shore, just waiting for all the physically inept people to get to shore.
The instructor dove and found a lobster. I got to touch it. I accidentally poked it in the eye.
You can see where our rooms were. Right along the bottom. No windows :) That kind of made napping awesome.
On the ship there was a build a bear workshop (of course called something different). I was so excited to make this for Felix, cause it was the cutest bear ever.
However, Felix could not care less about it. He loved the wooden dog we got from Mexico for $20 less. Of course.
Shelton and Steph spent their time at the arcade while I built Felix's neglected bear.
Don't believe the score. It didn't count any points that Steph got.
Our farewell song from Donovan and Luis.
This is our dining group. I really liked them. We all spent the last night at Karaoke together.
Bumping our growing bellies...not due to anything like a baby. Just food babies.
We had the afternoon after the cruise to spend with Erinn's family.
You decide who the better luchadoro is.
This is the cute dress we got in Mexico for Elise.
Kyle definitely shouldered most of the burden of our wiggly wiggly child on the plane home.
