HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!

Kyle turned 28 this week! How old!!! Jk. Wendy's family threw him a mini party tonight. Jessica made the most amazing cake for him. Something I will never be able to beat. And they got him an air soft gun since some wretched kid stole his from his car. It was really sweet and fun. The most memorable quote from the night was Jeremy telling Jess his great idea for when she gets a job: "Instead of putting the money in the cash register, you should put it in your pocket!"

FELIX

I had to share this. I love it so much. And Sarah's complaining motivated me to update my blog. I wanted to post the boyfriend I crocheted for Brit's graduation, but I can't get the picture off my phone, so I'll have to wait for Kim to email my the pic. But here is the thing that Kass made for my baby room. I am SOOOOOO excited about it. She made these monsters and they are to die for cute and the baby's name is the perfect balance of subtle and visible. I love love love it. Kass is so talented!

Kick

Today Felix was going crazy kicking the crap out of me, so I pushed him back with my hand on my belly. Then my hand totally moved as he kicked me back. I'm so excited because that means Kyle can feel it now!!!

Happy Birthday Keri!

I went to Seattle this weekend for Keri's birthday.
I only took pictures at the zoo, so enjoy!
This is Erik in his happiest moment. He was so excited to see the peacocks spread their wings. He had never seen it before this trip to the zoo.
We did do other stuff, like go to Goodwill and shopping. Which is where I finally tried on maternity pants and fell in love.
We also went out to eat a couple places. I got the most amazing pasta at Red Robin and the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I can't stop thinking about them and imagining how to recreate them.
We also played games, of course. And Keri was so upset that I didn't bring the rules to my new game up with me. Even if I hadn't lost the rules I probably wouldn't have brought them. I like having that power :)
We also watched the lamest movie ever. Whoever told us it was good is in trouble. It was "The Invention of Lying".
Taryn got pictures of her Disneyland trip from her neighbor. It was over 500 pictures printed out. This is how Taryn looked through them:
It was a fabulous trip, but way too short. I wish I could go every weekend. Or at least once a month. Anyone willing to fund that?

Happy Birthday Shauna!!!

Shauna procrastinated her finals to come celebrate the day of her birth with us under the rising full moon.
Here's all the guests, but I left out the picture of mom and Wendy since they both hate their picture taken.
Andy was a sports star. All he wanted to do was play basketball and soccer. He even muscled two big guys off the court so he could play. Every time he got hit with the ball, or even tapped, he'd fall all the way to the ground and pretend to be injured like the pros do.
Maggie was a cake monster. After three slices of cake she licked the pan clean.
Shauna asked Lynus when he was going to go to the bathroom in the toilet. Kyle suggested today and Lynus says, "Tomorrow?!"

Anyway, fun fun party. Good luck on your finals, Shauna!

New Bathroom!

Kyle decided that we should switch bathrooms so that he and the kitten could share the big bathroom and I could have the smaller one which is 1- Free of kitty poo and 2- Closer to the bed for my emergency pukes. So we switched even though I had put so much work into decorating the other one. But thisweekend (Saturday excluded) I had tons of energy and time and re-did my new bathroom and I love it now.
I painted it, put in a new light and decorated it with fish.
And even though there is less space, it is so much easier to be organized in this bathroom because of the over the toilet shelves. And I took the office organizer that I had been using for my piano teaching supplies and transformed it into a make up organizer (it's the thing on the top shelf with the red flower on it). Anyway, maybe this is boring news, but I'm quite excited. It energized me to clean the whole house and we can see the top of our dresser and our bedroom floor for the first time in months!

Week in Pictures April 5-11

We started off the week seeing Alice in Wonderland (not in 3d to avoid me puking) with Wendy's family.
Tuesday we got a kitten! We were just going to look, but Kyle couldn't walk away. I knew he wouldn't.
Wednesday we watched a Jazz game on the big screen at the Jordan Commons. We got there really early to beat the crowds...but the crowds never really came :) The Jazz did really poorly.
Thursday night my friends from work came over to sew crochet hook/knitting needle holders. It was supposed to be real fast and a one night deal, but we only got as far as cutting out our material.
Friday night we dyed eggs with our friends Stephanie and Shelton. Shelton and Kyle totally tried to get out of it, but they lost.
This was the coolest egg ever. It's C3PO.
Kyle went to town on our yard work Saturday. I supported him by laying on the grass and talking to him. He did a fantastic job on planting our front porch area.
Sunday, lots of people came over to meet our cat including Wendy's family, Kory's family, and Kyle's mom and brother. And finally I gave Kyle's brother Kevin the hat that I made him this week. I was really nervous about it because it didn't turn out quite as I expected, but he loved it.
