Happy Birthday to Me!!

My birthday was FANTASTIC! So many people responded to a very late text and came over for cake at my very own house on my birthday night.
Kyle got me a great cake with perfect candles (it says Happy Birthday in Spanish, fyi).

Apparantly I'm too old because I couldn't blow out my own candles. Lynus was there to help though.

Lynus thought that entitled him to two pieces of cake.

And Kyle called me a liar but I seriously was surprised when people brought presents. They were SO thoughtful and wonderful!

Thank you everyone for making my birthday so wonderful! Oh, and I forgot to take a picture but Kyle wrapped my present in a cheesy mormonad--it was hilarious.

Our House in the Middle of the Street

It's the moment you've all been waiting for! Pictures of our new house. First, here are pictures of our beautiful roses from our rose bush that Kyle went to town on and didn't leave much of...

Our newly painted front room with our new couches. I LOVE our new couch! It has footstools and a hidey hole and cup holders.

My bathroom! We have two so we don't have to share and I got the one with lots of counter space, which you can see I've already cluttered up.

My puzzle room. We both love that I can have puzzles out in a room that is secluded.

Kyle's room for his computer and drums, which we made as far away from my piano students as we could so he can still play while I teach. You can't see it but the former owners so graciously left up some vinyl lettering above the window which reads, "The wildest colts make the best horses".

Our hallway laundry room...though it's more of a closet. I still like it!

The closets in the two bedrooms are connected. The former owner told me she lost some children who were supposed to be locked in their rooms through this closet.

Two car garage! I LOVE having a garage. I never have before!

And a backyard! I love it. I get to hang out outside whenever I want and not feel like I'm just sitting out in public.

And in the corner of our yard is a weed overgrown garden that has the tiniest strawberries ever. I included a lemon in the picture for size reference.

A few random things

This is the owl I made for Amy (my cousin). I couldn't find the right size eyes, but then these big ones turned out to look perfect!

My second day at work my supervisor asked if I wanted a couch and when I of course said yes she sent me to RC Willey to pick one out myself!
This is our neighbor's cat who peeps on us. We woke up one night to him staring down at us while we slept...He's so creepy he turned our clock weird!!!

Just had to share

Our house, which we didn't realize at the time of purchase, has no AC. So while babysitting Story I didn't want to use a blanket so we wrapped her up tight in this pillow case. But it's so old there's a hole in the bottom that her foot stuck through. I started my job today and so I don't get to watch her anymore. That makes me sad :(

All About Kyle

I must begin by apologizing to everyone, especially Sarah, for not posting in SOOOO long. It's been kind of crazy between moving and trying to get my lisence. But I passed my lisencing exam and am just waiting for my lisence so I can start working at my new job, Wasatch Mental Health (Youth Out Patient). But enough about me. Here's what Kyle has been up to:

First, a long time ago (I've been meaning to post Kyle's recent activities forever) he made this goblin out of wood at Kass and Jerome's house.

And he bought this electric drum set with his fun money and LOVES it. He played a song while his nephew danced and his nephew screamed in the middle of the song, "This song is SOO great!"
He's also been playing air soft with his friend Matt Gregerson from high school. I had no idea he dressed like this during these outtings until a few weeks ago...

After my graduation (thank goodness not before) he shaved his beard off and missed a HUGE spot.

Need I say more?

And most recently, his birthday was this week! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!

To my surprise, Kyle has been LOVING taking care of our yard. He kept saying how much he was dreading it, yet every day he's out there doing something for it.

And we have been loving having his neice and nephew in town. Especially, since Elise actually likes us this time and can talk more (which results in less crying). And Connor is seriously the funniest kid ever now.

Lastly, on Kyle's birthday we went to see Kyle's Grandpa's grave in Logan. This is how Kyle and Connor spent their time there:

Post Grad

Everyone keeps saying it must feel great to be done. And I'm not so sure what they're talking about. It's so freaky. And yes, I know it's only been a week, but I'm a catastrophizer. So I watch this movie preview to feel better and to feel normal.

Graduation!!

I graduated last night. It was really long but I am SO grateful to everyone who came! This is my face the first time I saw my husband that night after my friend had me convinced that he got in a car accident with her husband. I was very relieved.

And this is my cute dress I got for graduation that I got to show off while we got ice cream. Natural ice cream at that. Shauna would totally dig it. I liked it a lot, but my natural flavored ice cream (that's what they called it) was covered up with Strawberries.
